What is Winget Deluxe?
Winget Deluxe is a graphical user interface for the Windows Package Manager (winget). With it, you can conveniently install, update, and uninstall software with a mouse click - without command line. The program uses the official winget repository from Microsoft.

Prerequisite: Install winget
Windows 11: winget is installed by default and ready to use.
Windows 10: winget may need to be installed from the Microsoft Store.
Install winget on Windows 10:
1 Open the Microsoft Store.
2 Search for "App Installer".
3 Click "Install" or "Update".
4 Restart Windows.
5 Test in PowerShell: winget --version
Install Winget Deluxe
1 Download WingetDeluxe-Setup.exe.
2 Run the setup (no admin rights required, but recommended).
3 Select installation folder (Default: %LOCALAPPDATA%\WingetDeluxe).
4 Start Winget Deluxe via Start menu.
First Start
1 Winget Deluxe checks on first start if winget is installed.
2 If winget is not found, a notification with installation instructions appears.
3 The program loads the winget repository (may take a few seconds).
4 The main interface shows three tabs: "Search", "Installed", "Updates".
Main Features - Step by Step
1. Search and Install Software
1 Switch to the "Search" tab.
2 Enter the software name in the search field (e.g., "firefox", "vlc", "7zip").
3 Press Enter or click "Search".
4 Search results show:
- Software name
- Package ID (unique identifier)
- Version
- Source (usually "winget")
- Short description
5 Check the desired software.
6 Click "Install".
7 Confirm installation in the dialog.
8 The program is automatically downloaded and installed.
9 Confirmation appears after completion.
2. Install Multiple Programs Simultaneously
1 Search for all desired programs in the "Search" tab.
2 Check each desired program.
3 Click "Install Selected".
4 Programs are installed one after another.
3. Manage Installed Programs
1 Switch to the "Installed" tab.
2 See all programs installed via winget.
3 Possible actions:
- Update: Update to latest version
- Uninstall: Remove program
- Details: Show more information
4 Select a program and click desired action.
4. Update All Programs
1 Switch to the "Updates" tab.
2 Click "Check for updates".
3 Winget Deluxe shows all available updates.
4 Choose:
- Select individual updates and click "Update"
- Or "Update All" for mass update
5 Updates are automatically downloaded and installed.
5. Change Language
1 Menu "Settings" > "Language".
2 Select: German or English.
3 Restart Winget Deluxe.
6. View Installation History
1 Menu "Extras" > "History".
2 See all completed installations and updates.
3 History shows: Date, time, action (Install/Update/Uninstall), package name.
4 Click "Export" to save history as text file.
Troubleshooting
