What is Unpack Deluxe?
Unpack Deluxe is a graphical interface for 7-Zip with extended features like password lists and batch extraction.

Installation
1 First install 7-Zip from www.7-zip.org
2 Download Unpack Deluxe
3 Run the setup
4 Setup detects 7-Zip automatically. If not: Specify path manually
Extract Single Archive
1 Start Unpack Deluxe
2 Drag the archive file into the window or use "Open"
3 The content overview is displayed
4 Select destination folder (Default: Subfolder in archive directory)
5 For password-protected archives: Enter password or select from list
6 Click "Extract"
Use Password Lists
1 Create a text file (.txt) with one password per line
2 In Unpack Deluxe: "Password List" > "Load List"
3 Open the encrypted archive
4 Enable "Use password list"
5 Click "Test" - all passwords are automatically tried
6 On success: The password is applied
Batch Extraction
1 Switch to the "Batch" tab
2 Add multiple archives (Drag & Drop or "Add")
3 Select options:
- Extract to same folder
- Separate folder per archive
- Delete archive after extraction
- Apply password list to all
4 Click "Extract All"
Preview Without Extraction
- Opening archive shows tree view of all files
- Text files can be displayed directly
- Images can be seen as thumbnail
- Individual files can be extracted directly
Context Menu (Right-Click)
After installation, you can right-click on archives in Windows Explorer:
- "Open with Unpack Deluxe"
- "Extract here (Unpack Deluxe)"
- "Extract to folder (Unpack Deluxe)"
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|
| "7-Zip not found" |
Install 7-Zip from www.7-zip.org. Restart Unpack Deluxe. |
| "Archive damaged" |
Archive may be incomplete. Check CRC or download again. |
| "Wrong password" |
Check password. For self-created archives: Consider case sensitivity. |
| "Access denied" |
Destination folder has no write permissions. Run as administrator or choose different folder. |
| "No storage space" |
Extraction often needs more space than archive size. Check free space. |
| RAR archives cannot be opened |
7-Zip supports RAR but not all compression methods. Use current 7-Zip version. |
