Requirement: An AVM Fritz!Box is required. Other routers are not supported.
What is CallMonitor?
CallMonitor displays incoming and outgoing calls from your Fritz!Box on your PC with caller images and location information.

Enable Fritz!Box Call Monitor
1 Open Fritz!Box interface (fritz.box or 192.168.178.1)
2 Log in
3 Go to "Telephony" > "Own Telephone Numbers"
4 Scroll to "Call Monitor"
5 Check "Enable Call Monitor"
6 Click "Apply"
Important: The call monitor is disabled by default and must be explicitly enabled in the Fritz!Box.
Initial CallMonitor Setup
1 Start CallMonitor
2 Enter the IP address of your Fritz!Box (usually 192.168.178.1)
3 Port is already set to 1012
4 Click "Connect"
5 Connection status should change to "Connected"
Add Caller Images
1 Create a folder for caller images (e.g., C:\CallMonitor\Images)
2 In CallMonitor: Settings > Caller Images
3 Select the images folder
4 Images must have the following names:
[PhoneNumber].jpg - e.g., 03012345678.jpg
[PhoneNumber].png - e.g., 01761234567.png
5 Images are automatically displayed during calls
Location Detection via Area Code
CallMonitor automatically recognizes the location based on the area code:
- Germany: All area codes included
- Example: 030 = Berlin, 089 = Munich, 0221 = Cologne
- Mobile numbers are recognized and marked accordingly
- Special numbers (0180, 0900) are marked
The location database is stored locally and updated regularly.
Call List
CallMonitor saves all calls:
- Incoming: Green icon, time, duration
- Outgoing: Blue icon, time, duration
- Missed: Red icon, time
- Filter by date, number, name possible
- Export as CSV possible
Dial from PC
1 Select a number from the call list or enter manually
2 Click "Dial" or phone icon
3 Your Fritz!Box-connected phone rings
4 Answer - the connection is established
Notifications
For incoming calls, a popup appears with:
- Caller number and name (if in phonebook)
- Caller image (if available)
- Location (via area code)
- Date and time
- Ring duration
Settings under: Settings > Notifications
Troubleshooting

Check filenames (exact number). JPG or PNG format. Check folder in settings. |
| Dialing not working |
Requires a phone connected to Fritz!Box. Check CAPI port. |
| Wrong location detected |
Mobile numbers have no area code. Update location database. |
| CallMonitor won't start |
Check if port 1012 is already in use by another program. Check Task Manager. |

Privacy
